As I sit, stuck inside my home during an annoying pandemic that seems like it will never end, all I can think about is those trips to Kaua'i, a place where I find myself always eating or snacking. But sometimes having a cool, refreshing drink like a Hawaiian sun Guava nectar is just as delicious as chowing down on a local island meal or snack like spam musubi.
G's Juice Bar is the perfect little whole in the wall on Kaumuali'i highway, to order a sweet, fruity smoothie or acai bowl when you do not feel like making something that requires standing in front of a stove in the kitchen or grill in your backyard.
I have yet to try the other flavors G's Juice Bar has to offer but the Hula Girl is one of the fruitiest smoothies I've ever had. The Hula Girl is a blended mixture of local mangoes, papaya, strawberries, banana, and mango juice.
Of all the smoothies flavors and acai bowls on the menu, G's Juice Bar also offers a juice shots menu of five different flavors like Polihale Heat, Beetlejuice, Nature, Freedom and Yogi. The prices are similar and affordable to the mainland's well loved Jamba Juice stores.
On my next trip back, I think I'll juice it up with the Jungle Girl smoothie which is made with a blend of pineapple, strawberry, ginger, apple juice, banana, kale and pitaya to quench my thirst. I recommend this juice spot to any of those who plan to visit Kaua'i, one of Hawai'i's beautiful islands.
